I put a Comp clutch stage 2 in a NA and it had more pedal feel. At that time I also put in a new slave. MC appeared great, no leaks, worked well for about a year. One day it was a little weird feeling, and I tried to bleed it from the damper\booster and got air. I Looked at the MC and it was leaking. I replaced it and have had no problems. All of the parts can leak internally but generally do not. I would not consider the damper essential, and I have seem it bypassed in other Zcars. I have removed the damper from a 240 and installed a single hard line, it made the clutch feel very good. All the damn thing does is make your pedal feel sissy.
